Magical, musical French classes for little ones

Hello and welcome to Amber’s Language, Music and Play!

Amber Semple, creator and teacher

I created Amber’s Language, Music and Play as a special way of teaching French to young children and their parents.

I was running my children’s French classes in various locations throughout Warwickshire and Leicestershire before Covid-19  hit, but you can now find free live classes on Facebook and I’m in the process of deciding what happens next.  Have your say here:

  • We sing simple and familiar songs, but in French
  • We use signs and actions to help us learn the words.
  • We play.  In our classes, we used playdough, paint, musical instruments, and light displays – in our online classes we keep it simple with whatever we can all find in our homes!

I usually teach babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers, but have been teaching children aged up to about 11 in my live classes.  Click below to find out what people are saying about Amber’s Language, Music and Play.

About me

I developed an interest in running music-based sessions with children when I left full-time teaching after having my first baby.  Originally, I ran parent and toddler groups, while doing some French work in primary schools, but then decided to bring my own love of French and singing together to form Amber’s Language, Music and Play.  A lot of my songs and activities have been developed through activities I have done with my own three children.

I have had people visit my classes from all over the midlands: Bedworth, Bulkington, Nuneaton, Burbage, Hinckley, Coventry, Rugby, Warwick, Leamington Spa and surrounding Leicestershire, Warwickshire and West Midlands towns.  And now, with my classes online, I have had visitors from Australia, Canada, and many African countries, as well as all over Europe and Asia.
