Children’s French classes with Amber’s Language, Music and Play
Amber’s LMP is a special way of teaching French, created by teacher Amber Semple. There are two ways you can access this learning: you can subscribe to my YouTube channel to learn from home, or you can come along to my children’s French classes which I run from my home in Bedworth, Warwickshire.*
My classes offer a unique and friendly environment for your child to learn French whilst having lots of fun. Located centrally in Bedworth, Warwickshire, I help you and your child learn French together through a range of music and play activities that you’ll love. Classes run on Monday afternoons throughout term-time, with a new topic starting every 8-10 weeks, so that your child is always learning new things. My approach is very gentle, classes are small and I try to get to know each family well, so that I can tailor things to you and your child.
The key to Amber’s Language, Music and Play is that we sing songs that are already familiar to children, but in French. The songs are accompanied by signs based on British Sign Language, and you can use the same signs with English versions of the songs at home. My theory is that the sign works as a kind of ‘anchor’ between the two languages, helping the child to understand the meaning of the words used in the song.
* Please note that I will be having a break from running classes from December 2016 for approx. 6-9 months while I am on maternity leave.*
I am a qualified teacher with twenty years’ experience of working with children and young people. As well as providing children’s French classes from home, I also provide French sessions to nurseries in Warwickshire.
